Who we are
JIR Sports (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates jirsports.in, a website for a community sports club offering football, cricket, chess, badminton, table tennis and other programs and events.
Information we collect
When you register as a member or for an event, we collect: name, age or date of birth, and contact details (phone, email); for players under 18, a parent or guardian’s name and contact details; sport or program and event registration details.
Payment information processed via Razorpay for any event or membership fees — JIR Sports does not store your card or UPI details directly; these are handled by Razorpay under its own security standards.
How we use it
We use this information to process registrations, manage event participation, communicate updates (such as schedule changes), and process payments. We do not sell member information to third parties.
Children’s data
Where a player is a minor, registration must be completed by a parent or guardian, who provides consent for us to collect and use the player’s information as described in this policy.
Data retention
We keep registration and event records for as long as needed to run club activities and meet any legal or accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your (or your child’s) information at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Contact us
For any privacy questions or requests, reach us via the WhatsApp button on this site, or by email once our contact address is set up.
A note on this policy
This is a starting template, not legal advice. Because JIR Sports registers children as well as adults, and handles payments, this policy should be reviewed by someone qualified in Indian data-protection law (the DPDP Act, 2023 has specific rules around a child’s data and parental consent) before relying on it.
