JIR Sports

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Draft placeholder — not legal advice. This is a starting template so the site has a policy in place before we collect any registration data. Because JIR Sports registers children as well as adults, and handles payments, we'd strongly recommend having this reviewed by someone qualified in Indian data-protection law (the DPDP Act, 2023 has specific rules around a child's data and parental consent) before the site goes live.

Who we are

JIR Sports ("we", "us", "our") operates jirsports.in, a website for a community sports club offering football, cricket, chess, badminton, and table tennis programs and events.

Information we collect

When you register as a member or for an event, we collect:

  • Name, age/date of birth, and contact details (phone, email)
  • For players under 18, a parent or guardian's name and contact details
  • Sport/program and event registration details
  • Payment information processed via Razorpay for any event or membership fees — JIR Sports does not store your card or UPI details directly; these are handled by Razorpay under its own security standards

How we use it

We use this information to process registrations, manage event participation, communicate updates (such as schedule changes), and process payments. We do not sell member information to third parties.

Children's data

Where a player is a minor, registration must be completed by a parent or guardian, who provides consent for us to collect and use the player's information as described in this policy.

Data retention

We keep registration and event records for as long as needed to run club activities and meet any legal or accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your (or your child's) information at any time by contacting us using the details below.
